Two Geary County representatives were recognized Friday night for their participation in the 20th annual Flint Hills Regional Leadership program. A graduation dinner was held at Riley’s Conference Center on Fort Riley.
Geary County graduates include Julie Owens, SUPV IT Specialist, Fort Riley and Amanda Rolfs, Marketing Manager, Central National Bank.
Other graduates of the program this year include Kelli Almes, Assistant Professor, KSU College of Veterinary Medicine; Marla Brandon, Vice-President of Finance, Manhattan Community Foundation; Kurt Bruggemeyer, Senior Plans Specialist, Fort Riley; Rick Chewning, Management Analyst, Fort Riley; Peter Clark, Traffic Engineer, City of Manhattan; Todd Dies, Chief, Financial Operations Branch, Fort Riley; Leah Filter, Communications Specialist / Public Policy Liason, Kansas Farm Bureau; Fred Goss, Director, Flint Hills Discovery Center; Craig Johnson, Associate Director, K-State Student Union; Jolene Keck, Election Supervisor, Riley County; Theresa Mayes, Financial Advisory, First Command Financial Services; and Dawn Shoffner, Assistant Director IT / GIS, Riley County.
The program aims to identify and motivate future leaders in Northeast Kansas.
