According to Taylor a hay barn and quonset shed were destroyed by the blaze, which has started as a grass and brush fire. “I lost a lot of hay, a tractor, and my feed truck and everything that was in the barns, all my saddles, tack, everything that was in the two barns.”
Taylor confirmed there was some content insurance, but only liability insurance on a 4020 John Deere tractor that burned.
The blaze began as a grass and brush fire. “It come from the west somehow. Nobody knows really wherei t started, but it was down on Clarks Creek somewhere. The west wind just took it up over the hill, and it come across some wheat stubble from last year, got through a shelter belt, and got in the hay barn.”
