A 21-year old Kansas State basketball player Thomas Gipson III, was arrested Wednesday in Geary County on suspicion of Driving While Driver’s License was Revoked, and Speeding.
That information was confirmed by Geary County Sheriff Tony Wolf, who reported that Gipson was stopped at 11:56 a.m. near the U.S. Highway 77 and I-70 intersection in a Chevrolet Trailblazer for allegedly speeding 80-miles-per-hour in a 65-mile-per-hour speed zone. After authorities ran a check on Gipson’s driver’s license, he was then arrested.
Gipson was booked at the Geary County Detention Center, and then released on $1,000 bond. No court date has been announced in the case.
This past season for the 20-13 Wildcats, Gipson started 28 games and averaged 11.5 points. He is a three-year letterman for Kansas State, and will be a senior this upcoming season.
