The Junction City Blue Jays got a 32-yard touchdown run by Raye Wilson with 8:08 to play in the first quarter, and were never headed after that as they raced to a 64-0 victory over the Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds on Friday night at Al Simpler Stadium.
The Blue Jays, who led 30-0 at halftime, scored four touchdowns and got a 2-point safety in the first two quarters. They scored five more touchdowns in the second half, including one on a 23-yard interception return by Tim Bell.
The Blue Jays, 3-0, will host the Seaman Vikings next Friday night in Junction City.
Shawnee Heights fell to 0-3 on the season.
