Obituaries – November 17, 2016

Charles W. “Seven/Tuck” Sallis, 69, of Junction City, KS, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Valley View Senior Life Center in Junction City, KS.

A visitation will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington Street. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016, at New Church of the Living God, 1315 W. Ash Street in Junction City with Reverend James E. Johnson officiating. A graveside service with full military honors will follow the funeral service at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery.

The family requests that the memorial contributions be given to the ALS Association.

Beth Louise Miller, 97, of Junction City, passed away on November 14, 2016 at Geary Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Zion United Church of Christ with Pastor Nikki Woolsey officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Memorials have been designated to the Zion United Church of Christ, 1811 McFarland Rd., Junction City, KS 66441. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Justina Anne Cockerham, age 87, of Junction City, passed away at her residence yesterday.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016, at the Main Post Cemetery at Fort Riley. Family and friends are invited and encouraged to meet at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, Manhattan from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. Friday

Memorial contributions to the Junction City Senior Citizen Center may be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66502.
