The City’s Public Works Director Ray Ibarra, said it will be a 16-block project on North Washington from 6th to Home Streets.
KDOT will pay 80% of the cost of the project and the City 20%. Ibarra estimated the project will take three to four weeks. On the traffic impact he stated, “When they mill it will slow traffic up. You will have one lane to go on. And it will also affect the parking between 6th and 10th Street.” Motorists will can use nearby side streets. Traffic signalization and control will be used to help direct motorists.
