Camso Manufacturing USA, LTD. was formally welcomed to Junction City Friday at the C. L. Hoover Opera House.
Lt. Governor Tracey Mann told an audience of local community and business leaders that Camso is a multi-national company with 7,500 employees. They operate 23 different plants, with the newest one being located in Junction City.
Mann said in two years Camso will invest $36.4 million in leasing, renovating and equipping a 139,000 square foot manufacturing facility, and will create 40 new jobs.
Jason Collins, who oversees the company’s operations in Kansas said they will be dedicated to the agriculture industry at their Junction City site. They will manufacture tracks used on tractors and implements. The company will renovate a former grocery distribution facility in the I-70 Industrial Park for their new home in Junction City.
