The Kansas Department of Transportation Division of Aviation will host the fifth annual Fly Kansas Air Tour September 27-29.
KDOT has partnered with the Kansas Commission on Aerospace Education to promote aviation and economic growth. To date 59 pilots and 45 aircraft are signed up to participate in the tour.
One of the stops will include Freeman Field, the airport in Junction City, at 12:30 p.m Thursday, September 27. they will be in Junction City until 3 p.m. Other stops on the 27th include Wellington, Hutchinson, Abilene and Salina. They will visit Clay Center, Rooks County and Great Bend on September 28, and and Rose Hill ( Derby ) on September 29.
All events will be free and open to the public.
