Susan Marie Stewart

Susan Marie Stewart of Manhattan, Kansas, passed away November 19, 2018 at The Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas, after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born February 10, 1953 in Neodesha, Kansas along with her twin sister Connie, to Daniel and Dorothy (Mitchell) Foster who preceded her in death. Susan also had a brother Larry Foster who also preceded her in death.

She graduated from Neodesha High School class of 1972. She was united in marriage to Terrence Lee Stewart, who survives of the home, on March 26th, 1976 in Miami, Oklahoma.

Susan is survived by her husband Terrence, her twin sister Connie Leahew of Lenexa, Kansas and, her sister, Bobbie Harper of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her five children: Lori Freeman, her husband Thad, and two grandsons Michael and Nicholas Freeman all of Omaha, Nebraska, her son Steven Stewart of Manhattan, Kansas, her son Timothy Stewart his wife Aleida and grandsons Gabriel and Sebastian of Lenexa, Kansas, her daughter Stephanie Stewart, of Lawrence, Kansas and, her son James Stewart and his fiancé, Rachel, of Overland Park, Kansas, as well as her extended family and friends.

For many years Susan worked for Sirloin Stockade as a Manager in Manhattan, leaving there in 2001. After leaving Sirloin she went to work for the Manhattan Credit Bureau. She had spent the last ten years working for the Riley County District Court as a District Court Clerk Supervisor.

The family would like to invite you to join them for a memorial service at The Manhattan First Free Methodist Church 1231 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, Kansas 66502 on December 8th, 2018 from 1:30-4 pm.

The Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
