The school itself remains on schedule to bid out in the April timeframe. Earthwork is anticipated to commence in late February contingent upon Board approval of bid documents.
The District is working with Hutton and the Small Business Administration (SBA) to schedule a pre-bid vendor fair. “The government shutdown is affecting the SBA. We hope to finalize a date for this event as soon as our SBA partners return to work” Wild reported.
Hutton continues to develop its construction schedule and is seeking to drill some test wells for use during construction. Temporary power and internet service is also being worked.
The public can expect to see mobilization of a job trailer to the worksite in early February. Drone footage of before dirt work is planned with periodic updates throughout the construction period.
The end goal is to have the new school built and in use by August of 2021.
