There will be a community race for different age groups, a bike jamboree and community bike ride.
Live Well Geary County spokesperson Susan Jagerson said the bike jamboree will go from 9 to 11 a.m. “So people can come out. We’ll have people there to look at bikes, kind of do some basic repair things. We’ll have some giveaways, we’ll have some information on bike safety and we will also have some bike helmets available that were donated by Karen Jameson, State Farm.”
The community bike ride is scheduled at 11 a.m. Infrastructure has been put in place on routes for bicycle riders on 7th and 8th Streets with help from the Flint Hills MPO, City of Junction City and Live Well Geary County. Those routes are demonstration projects.
