JCHS track and field results

Junction City Blue Jay and Lady Jay track teams competed at the Manhattan Invitational on Friday.

In the girls competition Junction City finished 5th out of nine teams with 48.5 points. 

Lady Jay highlights included:

--Discus 1st, Gracie Erichsen with a throw of 125'1"

--800 meters 2nd, Lorna Rae Pierce in 2:23.44

--1600 Meters 2nd, Anna Fontaine in 5;19.52

--3200 Meters 2nd, Anna Fontaine 1:47.71

--4 x 400 relay, 3rd, Jada Williams, Daniella Okorie, Ayanna Patterson, Aneras Peoples, 4:19.56

--4 x 100 relay , 4th, Danaiella Okorie, Ayanna Patterson, Jada Williams, Aneras Peoples, 1:33.5

In the boys competition Junction City finished fifth out of nine teams with 45 points.

Blue Jay highlights included:

--200 meters, 2nd, Jalen Morgan 22.54

--3200 meters Anthony Testa 2nd 9:42.14

--3200 meters, 3rd,  Ethan Fontaine 9:43.32

--4 x 800 relay, 3rd Juanito Alvarado, Ty Rauston, Damian Davis, Zachary Bender

--Shotput, 4th, Ryan McCreath, 48'9"

--Discus, 3rd tie, Joshua Flanigan 144'10

--High Jump, 4th, Kingston Timms, 6'10'

--Triple Jump. 6th Trevion Ruffin, 39' 5 1/2

--1600 Meters, 5th, William Dee, 4:0.26

--1600 Meters, 6th Jacob Atkins, 4:40.57

Manhattan captured first in both boys and girls team competition.
