Jeff Underhill announced via social media that he will seek a second term in the Kansas House. Underhill said that he  officially filed for reelection as the State Representative for House District 65. "I look forward to continuing working on the issues that impact and concern my fellow Kansans in District 65 and I would be honored to serve you for another term. "

As a member of the Child Welfare & Foster Care Committee and the Joint Committee for Child Welfare System Oversight,  Underhill said that he worked to better the lives of children who are in the care of Kansas. "I feel a strong responsibility that we care well for these children and teens. I will speak for children who need representation and a voice in the great state of Kansas."

Underhill pointed to one of the accomplishments that he is most proud of involved sponsoring and getting a bill passed to protect survivors of sexual abuse by allowing them to press charges against their abuser, no matter how long it takes for victims to understand and be ready to address their abuser.

Underhill also serves on the Elections, Local Government, Insurance and the Special Committee on Governmental Ethics Reform. "I support responsible tax cuts, and economic growth."
