Geary County Emergency Management has passed along information from the National Weather Service on the possibility of severe weather.
--Late night storms - north-central into northeast Kansas generally after 10 pm tonight to 3 am Tuesday
--Large hail (up to 2”) and damaging winds (60-70 mph)○ A few tornadoes possible (night-time concerns)
--Overnight/Early morning storms - northeast and east-central KS generally after 3 am through 10 am Tuesday morning
--Tuesday afternoon storm potential - mainly along and North I-70○ Not expected to be severe but isolated storms could develop later in the afternoon along the cold front.
