The Geary USD 475 Board of Education on Tuesday evening will discuss the start and dismissal times for secondary schools for the 2024-2025 school year.
Last month staff shared data to support the time changes for transportation reasons and academic time spent out of the classroom.
The proposed changes include:
Junction City High School would begin at 7:40 a.m. and dismiss at 2:55 p.m.
City Middle and Fort Riley Middle Schools would begin at 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 3:45 p.m.
Staff recommends that the Board approve the new secondary start and dismiss times for the 2024-2025 school year.
The Board meeting Tuesday begins at 6 p.m. at the Devin Center.
